Stephen Colbert Wax Museum

Here is an episode of the Journalist Stephen Colbert in the Washington DC Wax Museum. I wanted you guys to see this besides it is funny I wanted you to see the wax figures of the Presidents we have posted around the classroom.

I figure this is a good way to start the Chapter on the Presidency!

  1. This video was really funny watching Colbert walk through the museum as he point at some of the past presidents and make fun of them. The comments he made were funny too. one of them were "Why does FDR get to sit down" and another one was "I didn't realize we elected a vampire into the senate". Colbert was really funny through out the whole video also when he was trying to lick president Reagan.

  2. President Reagan and Mr. Colbert had virtually the same tie :D
I heard somewhere that George Washington didn't actually have wooden teeth, he had hippopotamus dentures.. But of course I could be wrong.. The end was a little bit unnecessary -_- I didn't have to see that, but i do wonder if it actually tasted good (probably not).

  3. That was hilarious. The person that was showing Colbert around did seem it get really upset when he made a comment about wanting to lick one of our presidents. His comments were great and spot on, and I was actually curious to find out what the "S" stood for in Ulysses S. Grant, and I love how he called our second president Larry from the three stooges. It was great.

  4. I love Stephen Colbert, his sarcasm and crude humor just pissed of the person directing the tour and that was fantastic. He seemed to have no qualms about asking all the really odd and "smart ass" questions. And I'm glad they let him at least lick the wax figure of himself, it's the least they could do all he wanted was to lick Abraham Lincoln that's not too much to ask for.

  5. I thought this was honestly hilarious and fund it funny how he could be such an ass sometimes and not get in trouble though. He is a very bright person, I know this since I've watched his shows once in a while. This video kind of made me see presidents in more than a picture so i have a realization of what they look and taste like.

  6. I thought it was fun and funny to see the presidents like that.I think that Martin Van Buren and Ronald Regan looked the most realistic. The hair on Martin Van Buren really portrayed his true style. It was also nice to see figures from today like Tiger Woods as well as years past. The realistic figures were nicely placed in settings that portrayed them at that time in history.

  7. Amazingly funny! Stephen Tyrone Colbert deserves an Oscar for his comedic and candid role. All of the wax figures looked exactly identical to their person including Harriet Tubman a.k.a. Tiger Woods. I do agree with Stephen Tyrone Colbert in that people should be allowed to braid, comb, or stroke Martin Van Buren's hair. I also agree that people should be able to lick the wax figures especially Beyonce.

  8. I felt that this video was hilarious. Parts that I found funny where how the guy given the tour was getting annoyed with Stephen Colbert, and just the comments that Stephen Colbert was making on the wax figures for example the fact that William Henry Harrison actually reminded him of a vampire and how he wanted to lick Reagan. I thought that statues look really realistic.

  9. That video was hysterical. I loved when Stephen Colbert started playing with Van Burens hair, how he said John Adams was Larry from the three stooges, and when he said its not fair that FDR gets to sit. When he said Harriet Tubman and tiger woods looked alike i pictured lips and jordans screaming racist and boti boy

  10. I thought this video was really funny. I liked looking at the outfits all the presidents wore. I thought it was really funny how Stephen Colbert was getting the other man so frustrated. I thought it was really amazing how lifelike the wax figures looked. I thought the figure they did of Stephen Colbert looked just like him and the whole video in general was funny.

  11. This video was so hilarious. I like when he compared John Adams to the guy from the three stooges and when he was playing with Van Buren's hair. It was funny when he compared to Harrison as a vampire and especially when he licked his own wax figure.

  12. I think the video was really funny. Thinking John Adams was larry from the three stooges had to be the best. The shot at FDR was funny also. I think they captured Colbert's "blistering significance in his wax figure also. "i didn't realize we elected a vampire into the senate" was also a funny crack.

  14. I think that this was pretty funny. He went around and crapped all over Madame Tussauds, when he was like swing and miss for George Washington. When the he asked about Ulsses S. Grant, the guy didnt know what the s stood for. He told the guy that he had more reverence for the presidents. He thought John Adams was from the three stooges that was funny. He wanted to lick Reagan and Lincoln which was funny. Then with the Tiger Woods references and it was not just a hall of presidents. I think they did a good job on his waxamerican and he finally got to lick something, great video.

  15. This video was pretty funny. Colbert seems to have a fetish for licking wax figures of presidents (and himself). I liked the reference of Harrison looking like a vampire, which he does, and Adams, looking like Larry from the three stooges, which he does. He also had a Van Buren hair fetish, for some weird reason. He also thought that Harriet Tubman looked like T. Woods, and that Juliette Gordon Low was a man. The FDR joke, was just lmfao. I hope that Colbert never actually had a fetish for licking a wax figure of himself when he was much younger, cause that would be pretty weird. Overall, the whole video and Colbert was funny.

  16. "I didn't know we elected a vampire to the senate", Literally died laughing. Colbert is always hysterical and pretty much scared the life out of his tour guide at the wax museum. He not only made fun the presidents but gave tiger woods a shout out as well. Colbert proclaims himself as a Waxican American and that being made of wax is true immortality

  17. I thought the video was very funny. I really liked when Colbert said I didnt know we elected a vampire to congress. I also thought it was really funny how he thought Harriet Tubman was Tiger Woods and when he was showed Tiger Woods he did not think it was him.

  18. I thought that the video was really funny because he was convinced that the wax figure of tiger woods wasn't him when they look exactly alike. Another funny part was him asking to lick Abraham Lincoln and the man giving the tour of the museum had looked like he was getting annoyed which made it even funnier.

  20. I thought the video was pretty funny. I thoguht it was weird that he wanted to lick the wax figures and he licked his own figure. It was funny when he said I didn't know that we elected a vampire as president.

  21. I'm not really a fan of Stephen Colbert but I thought it was funny when he said Harrison looked like a vampire, because he kind of did. And it was also funny when they were showing other figures like Harriet Tubman and Colbert was like "I thought this was a hall for presidents". It was odd that other figures would be thrown in there, they should be in separate section.
