  2. President Obama had won this debate. Both partys have interputed the speaker in oder to get their point across. However Mitt Romney kept on trying to cut off President Obama and by contridicting what Obama was saying and trying to persuade the public to believe what he feels that Obama has not yet acchived to better out econimic issue. Mitt Romney also seemed to ways need to have the last say in the topic of the question and if he didnt he would cut off the speaker in order to say what he had wanted to say.

  3. I completely agree with Kristina in that I find Romney to be quite obnoxious. Obama held his own much better in this debate than in the last, and I think Romney lost some brownie points by not being respectful to Obama and Moderator Crowley. However, as far as Obama and Romney's policies go, I'm not sure what to say. Throughout most of their speeches, and debates they have said that the other wasn't telling the truth. I'm not sure who to believe. They both seem to agree on wanting to invest in a better education and making sure that the middle class doesn't get hurt in the process of building the economy. The way that they are going to go about it are apparently very different. I'm not sure what exactly it is that one or the other is going to do to get there though. I'm not sure because supposedly, neither one is telling the truth.

  4. President Obama won this debate hands down.
Governor Romney is super cocky and rude. He constantly interrupted the President while he was trying to speak. Would you ever want a President that constantly interrupted people? I understand that this was a debate but still. He tried to make himself seem like he is better than the President because he is a governor and all the President was before he enter office was a senator.I feel like he tried to make the President look bad, he tried to make it seem as if the President did not accomplish any thing at all. Well, at least the President know what he wants to do during his second term and sticks to it. Romney is taking people all around the world. He does not even know what he wants to do as President. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bZfXvFAeHVo

  5. I feel like President Obama did win this debate. Both candidates were cutting the other off and there were some pretty tense moments. But Obama managed to put his point across, while Romney was mostly countering everything Obama said.

  6. I feel like President Obama won this debate. I felt as though they could have gone all night and both did 2 things trash talk the other, and spoke about their achievements. Im I feel Obama wanted to do better in this debate rather then the first.

  7. So President Obama finally woke up after the debate last week. President Obama was more alert and was prepared by his advisors. I didn't like that President Obama unintentionally took credit for something that CLINTON DID as President. Also I want to clear up that Romney did NOT say that he will tax your income if you make $250,000 or more BY 60% he said that the HIGHER CLASS MAKES-UP 60% of the NATIONS income tax while the other 40% mostly comes from middle income families. Obama talked basically about the same ideas that he talked about in 2008. His "change" slogan is getting to be cliche and false in my opinion; I guess it depends on how you define change. On another note I liked Romney's 5 point plan which include: 1.Energy independent 2.Trade restrictions on countries like china so they don't cheat the system 3.Balance the budget 4.Fix job training programs & 5. Promote small business growth. All of these points are the foundation to a better America and a stronger economy.

  8. I can't really say who won because both romney and Obama had good points and had good answers for each question. Romney made a good point when he talked about Obama putting into more debt after his 4 years of being in office. Bit Obama made a good argument when he was talking about the act that he had pass for women to help women have equal rights in the work place.

  9. President Obama clearly won this debate. Obama actually showed up yesterday and Romney was unable to fight back. He got caught contradicting and ling several time and the lady who was proctoring the debate even told Romney that he was wrong and changing his statements.

  10. President Obama completely came back for round two refreshed and ready for a fight. He was definitely more lively in this debate compared to the last one. I also got very annoyed with Romney because once again he was interrupting Obama and not letting him answer any questions. At one point Romney would ask questions and then not even give Obama time to answer which made him seem rude. I'm not a fan of Romney's tactics, he attacks and interrupts instead of hearing another person's views on the issues. He even pulled the "my dad was born in Mexico" card because he was trying to seem in touch with the middle class. In reality he only cares about the rich. Plus I think the moderator was great this time, she really wasn't taking anyone's crap which is good because it kept both candidates in check.

  11. I believe that President Obama was better prepared to answer and discuss the issues asked this time than the last debate. Obama used facts to get back at Romney when he would attack him, rather than personal blows. Obama seemed to catch Romney in a lot of "stretched truths" because there were a lot of issues that Romney had said the opposite previous times before. This refers to the issues of immigration, tax reforms, and the right to bare arms. The only time Obama took a personal shot at Romney was when the issue that happened in Libya was brought up. When Romney tried to make Obama look bad, Romney's accusations were wrong, and the moderator corrected him when it was Romney's turn to give his opinion.

  12. I feel like President Obama clearly won this debate. Mitt Romney flip flopping policies were exposed once the topic natural resources came into play. Obama called Mitt Romney out for closing down a coal plant in Massachusetts, because Romney wanted to preach about investing in coal factories. Romney was clearly exposed in this debate and I feel like this now gives president Obama an edge in the election.

  13. I feel that Romney is obnoxious and very rude. He interrupts the President too often and when Obama tried to interrupt Romney, Romney told Obama to wait because he was talking. Romney has no respect for the President. Romney presents himself as if he is better than the President and that the President has not accomplished anything in his term. I don’t like that Romney puts down everything that Obama has done. Romney wants to lower everything such as taxes, gas, mortgages, education, etc. If Obama had lowered everything we would be in a great depression. I feel that if Romney lowers everything we are headed to a great depression. I feel that Romney wants too much change.

  14. I though Obama came out a lot stronger than he did the last debate. I liked a lot of Obamas answers and his statements. For Obama, He spoke very strongly and was very straight foward and made his point for each question meanwhile Romney was beating around the bush and instead of directly answering each question, he brought Obama into it and blamed him for it. Also I think Romney was being very rude. I believe that Romney appeared to not no what he was saying at times. I feel as over all in that debate, Obama is the winner.

  15. I think that President Barack H. Obama won this debate. This time he came out strong and spoke a little more clearer. Governor Romney did however do well also but he still tried to cut off Obama sometimes. What I like most was the town hall debate style. This I think allowed the audience to actually get involved in the debate by asking questions to the candidates.

  16. In this debate I felt that President Obama pushed back at Governor Romney. The last debate Governor Romney was just attacking President Obama and it resulted in him winning the debate. This time was a different story President Obama fought back and manage to win the debate. Governor Romney tried to attack him but President Obama was able to hold his ground. At one point it was so heat it looked like they were about to fight. This debate was very interesting and President Obama did a great job at holding his ground.

  17. Overall I think that Obama did a much better job at the debate. Obama spoke a lot stronger this time. I think Obama won the debate and gave a better performance. The moderator did not stay neutral and helped Obama. She interrupted Romney many more times and on the issue of Libya she misled everyone by saying Obama called Libya a terrorist attack. Obama did not say it was an act of terrorism but instead made a general statement saying that the US would not give into terrorism. Even if he did call it a terrorist attack I think Romney could have pointed out that Obama went on Letterman days later and said it was a protest caused by the video. Romney was not as strong as strong of a speaker as the last time

  18. Judging by what I saw, it looked like President Obama clearly won the debate. He seemed like he wanted to win this debate and show that he should be the president more then he did in the first debate. Romney kept on interrupting Obama like the last time and the moderator tended to favor Obama because she interrupted Romney many times. Romney had no respect for the president and Romney felt that he should lower taxes and imports, which in my opinion is not a good idea. Also, Obama interrupted Romney once and Romney told him to let him finish speaking. Romney is rude and lost this debate by a long-shot. I believe that Obama did a good job in this debate and that he is the true winner of the debate.

  19. 1. This debate was a lot more interesting than the first one was. Both Obama and Romney seemed very into debating. There were a lot of interruptions. I think Romney acted like a child because he had A little temper and did not understand the concept of time limitations. When he was confronted about going over the limit, he got all mad and kept trying to talk. When Obama went over the limit, he calmly stated that what he had to say was important and then proceeded. Romney also kept avoiding the questions. I remember the first question he was asked about someone finding a job after college, he didn’t answer the question but instead he started telling an irrelevant story about someone else in college. When Obama was given his turn, he wasted no time and got straight to the point and answered the questions and I thought Obama did a really good job bringing the 47% at the end because that way Romney didn’t have a chance to say anything about it or even comment. It was really funny to watch.

  20. I feel that President Obama won this debate. Obama came out attacking ready to out duel Romney, and he did. He aggressively critisized Romney, with some strong facts. However Romney did not lose this debate. He was rude and sometimes annoying, but passionate as well. This is a fight, it is going to be like this until the end. I feel that coming out of this no one has an edge over the other. We will find out on Monday who will gain the edge. Although if there was one advantage Obama has the chance to improve his Presidency and we know what he is capable of whereas Romney has to start from scratch and we still do not know how.

  21. I liked what Romney said about making college more affordable because that is a main priority of mine at the moment. I really liked Romney's five point plan to get more jobs in 4 years because that will effect me as well as the rest of the class when we get out of college. I felt Obama did speak a lot better than the first debate but I found myself not really believing the things he said because there hasn't been many positive things in the country the past four years.

  22. This debate was interesting because both Obama and Romney were interrupting each other. There was a lot of mudslinging during the debate, they didn't hold back. I felt that Obama was more prepared for this debate, he came out better than the last debate. I think they were both rude at times, not just Romney, but that's politics. I felt that the moderator was favoring Obama.

  23. The debate was, in my opinion, better for Obama, because he did a much better job. Romney changed what he said in the past debates and his past speeches. He changed what he said he would do with taxes. At first he was in favor of the rich, and now he is in favor of the middle class. Obama basically shut him up a few times. Overall Obama won this debate.

  24. I think Obama won this debate. He came out a lot stronger than the first one. In this debate Obama was the one attacking Romney. If Romney tried to attack Obama, Obama held his ground and then he countered.

    ReplyDelete
  25. In this debate Obama picked up the slack from the last one, in attack mode and spoke up more. This debate was less formal than the first one. Romney criticized Obama on how he handled the incident in Libya in September, and him not keeping his promises. They touched a lot on equality for women, education, and tax deductions.

    ReplyDelete
  26. The 3rd and final debate mainly focused on foreign affairs. I think that President Obama did a better job in this debate than governor Romney did. President Obama was able to answer the questions in detail while governor Romney barely answered the question.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Obama definitely picked up the slack from his last debate, which was one poor showing if you ask me. He actually got a word in this time around, and shared his opinions instead of being cut off by Romney constantly. The President was holding his ground and was countering Romney to the point where he was attacking him. This debate definitely goes to the President.
