No matter what points were brought up, it somehow always managed to go back to the issue of taxes and health care. I felt like mitt Romney had passion and conviction within his points yet was contradicting himself left and right. He wants to preach about equality yet doesn't vote in favor of gay marriage, so I would personally like to know what he considers to be equal. I felt like president Obama sounded defeated and at times was repeating himself. He did bring up valid points about how this country wouldn't be able to generate money after dozens of tax loopholes which did make sense. It was extremely painful to watch and wasn't interesting in the slightest.
After watching this debate i think that Obama is pushing for a form of socialized medicine and to do away with the current medicare system he's against lowering taxes to the middles class and Romney is looking to keep medicare system the way it is for lowering taxes in the middle class and to stop putting U.S dollars into foreign countries. I think Romney is more for the middle class people and more for trying to keep American dollars in the United States and Obama wants to keep the "Obama care" I feel that Obama was not ready for the debate tonight because he was stuttering way too much meanwhile Romney was ready for every single question that was throwing at him.
After watching the debate I felt that Mitt Romney won the debate. Romney had strong opinions and fought back at everything that was asked of him. There were many various questions asked throughout this debate like on taxes, the deficit, social security, and education, federal regulation on business&people and health care. First Romney had a plan that I liked that health care should be decided by the states and that people with preexisting conditions CAN get health insurance contrary to popular reference of the obama campaign. By obama care passing (affordable health care act) it will cut 716-million dollars from Medicare, even though Obamas covers that up with a $600 prescription cut for elderly people’s prescriptions. Also Obama care might restrict what health care produces you are qualified to receive. I also did like that Obama spent 90- billion dollars on companies that are suppose to be “green project” when half them are governmentally own and half the people that own those companies are supporters of the Obama campaign. There was also an import point on federal regulation, Romney feels there SHOULD be SOME regulation on business but, that we should look to focus the MOST on small businesses because that were 53% of the jobs in America come form not big business necessarily. Finally education the Obama campaign makes it seem like Romney is not for education when he really is. Mitt Romney’s state of Massachusetts is ranked the #1 sate in America for education. Romney wants more of a technical approach to collage so that people can be trained and have the qualifications for the jobs out here right now. All these points are opinions and may or may not help us for generation to come.
I agree with Olivia in that Mitt Romney was contradicting himself by saying he wants to achieve equality, yet he does not support gay rights and equality for those who are not the traditional Christian. I think is was unprofessional that Mitt Romney kept interrupting Obama and wouldn't let him speak. I disagreed with his idea of college and people being trained for a more technical approach because i feel people should be able to study whatever they desire.
In the debate between Mitt Romney and Barack Obama i thought that Mitt Romney won the debate. However i dont think that all of what Mitt Romney said was true. Throughout the course of the debate he was inconstant with his views and constantly contradicted himself. Obama while he was not as good of a speaker during the debate was more consistent in his answers through out the debate.
I like that Obama has a plan to help education in America. Obama wants to hire 100,000 math and science teachers, lower tuition, and create 2 million slots in community colleges so students can be trained for jobs. I like that Obama wants kids to go to college and have a better education and future. I dislike how Romney presented himself. He interrupts the moderator several times. He laughs, smirks, and cuts off Obama while Obama is speaking. I feel that he is disrespectful towards the President. I also dislike that Romney implies that Obama wasted money and things haven’t improved. Meanwhile Obama has made a lot of positive changes for education, healthcare, and for the well-being of citizens. Some may think that Romney is a better speaker because he is very quick to have a response. However, Romney doesn’t give direct answers to questions. I believe that Obama is a better speaker because he tends to think through what he is about to say before he says it and has a thorough plan unlike Romney. Also Obama wants to keep the same Medicare and Romney wants everyone to choose to have a voucher for private insurance or keep Medicare. I think that is just going to create problems because the insurance companies don’t want to be controlled in that way and its going to cause problems with the quality of care given to the patient. I don’t think that Romney’s method is going to work better. Overall I feel that Romney is mostly for the wealthy citizens and Obama is looking out more for the middle and lower classes.
I think that Romney "won" the debate in that he seemed to keep Obama on the defense. He seemed to strike harder when making his points. However, I find that Romney is rarely genuine in what he says. I doubt that he will not increase the deficit without increasing taxes, and I often think that he will hurt the middle class. He did state a clear 5 step plan when asked about the economy though. He wants America to become energy independent, increase trade, increase education, balance the budget, and support small businesses. At face value, this seems like a good plan, but what will the consequences be? Obama seemed to have an answer to that question. Obama's focus on economic growth was to invest in education systems. Romney's solution is going to lead either increase in taxes, or increase the deficit. However, Obama did seem repetitive, and did not fight back as hard as Romney did.
In last night debate I believe that Mitt Romney had done a better job then President Obama had due to the fact that he was able to fight back. Throughout the debate both Obama and Romney had interrupted the moderator. However, I felt that Romney has come off kind rude he kept on cutting off Obama and really did not speak about his plans if were to become president, rather then he was more focused on speaking about Obama and hi healthcare ideas and what he has done wrong as president. Whereas Obama had talked about his plans such as giving middle class a tax break. Over all I felt that the debate was good but I feel that there should have been more time for both candidates to give a respond.
After watching the debate I couldn't really tell who won. I just think that President Barack H. Obama didn't really speak clearly because he kept saying um. Mitt Romney on the other hand was an excellent speaker. Obviously both opponents had their own views of the economy, healthcare, taxes, education, and so on. I do agree with Mrs. Madden-Buck in that President Barack H. Obama would come out strong next time. If not I think that Mitt Romney would become the next president.
After watching the debate I can't say that I was really surprised as to how both Romney and Obama went at each other. Each speaker said the opposite of the other person. I have had a sense that Obama didn't really care, and Romney had a great debate. In my opinion, Romney clearly came out on top in the debate. However, I do know how well of a speaker Obama can be, so it would not surprised if he shows it in the upcomming debates.
I think that Mitt Romney won the debate. I was surprised that Obama said he had many things in common with Romney. Obama seemed lost while Romney seemed very prepared for the questions. I did not agree with Romney's plan to shift different programs to the state control. I think that would cause the programs to become unfair for everyone. I think Obama does not have the right idea when he says in order for economic growth there needs to bee a better education system. Having a better education system will help economic growth 10+ years from now. It wont help us out of the economic problems we are in now.
Although Romney was obviously more adapt at debating, he also became very rude and had a tendency to cut people off. He also sounded like a child when he said "yes but I want the last word", I mean really how old is he and he is sounding like a five year old who wants his way. He was being completely disrespectful the entire time and frankly, he sounded hypocritical at times. Although Obama wasn't saying much and wasn't really "looking Romney in the eye", I think it was just a strategy. He's letting Romney win now so he can make a huge comeback later. I do believe Romney did the better job but he didn't really prove his point either. All he kept saying was "well when I'm president...", we needed to know his plans, we can't wait until he's president to figure that out.
I think that Mitt Romney won the debate, but some things he said I didn't believe were true. He was a little rude interrupting Obama and the man that asked the questions. Something that I liked that Obama said was that he wanted kids to go to college and have a better education and future.
By watching the debate I realize that obama is a better speech giver and that Mitt Romney is a better debator. Another thing that i notice is that Romney would talk about how he wanted to fix the nation but really mentioned what he wante to fix in the nation. Another thing was that Obama seem to become more frustrated and kept on pausing before he spoke. But Romney talked about dropping obama care and pbs as well.
It appeared that Romney had a better debate than Obama. I feel that Obama was letting Romney have his time on what he had to say, and was letting Romney lose the debate on his own. Obama let Romney show his true colors, Romney contradicted himself, was rude, and made unvalid points. Because Romney is better at talking doesnt mean he won the Debate. Obama played his own game, which was making valid points, defending himself, and more importantly not hurting himself in the things he said. He didn't want to play Romney's game of arguing, and not thinking before he spoke. Obama has been President and the people know his direction, he did not need to have an offense, where as we still do not not know the direction of Romney.
After watching in my opinion it seems as if Obama let Romney win this one or he was either plotting and taking note on how he's going to attack him. Obama is usually a great speaker but Romney won the debate. Romney also had an advantage of training to debate against other while Obama was busy being president and haven't debated in about four years. During the debate they both agreed on excess amount of money spent on oil. Romney attacked obamacare stating that its more money spent , high insurance, and small business hiring rate was lower because of it.
No matter what points were brought up, it somehow always managed to go back to the issue of taxes and health care.
