I decided to skip parts of Chapter 2. We are starting with Chapter 2 Section 4 Tomorrow- THE CONSTITUTIONAL CONVENTION and then moving on to Chapter 3.

If you intended to reserve your unalienable rights you must have the most express stipulation and that if you the people don’t think it necessary to reserve them will supposed to give up.
4. The key issues on which the delegates to the constitutional convention agreed are the debate over hoe to elect the president included the election by the people, and state legislature, the present Electoral College system which is where each state selects electors to choose the president.
5. Hamilton Madison and John Jay were the authors of the Federalist and the purpose of the writing was to defend the new constitution.

The impact of the Federalist and the Anti-Federalist on the constitution is that the Federalist favored the constitution and their support comes from merchants and others in the cities and coastal regions. Whereas, Anti-Federalist opposed the new constitution, drew support from the inland farmers and laborers who feared a strong nation government. Federalists had claimed that the Bill of Rights did not have to be added to the constitution. Anti-Federalist argued that the constitution took important power from the states and how it lacked the Bill of Rights.

The liked the ideas of a limit government and a representative government. The believed that the powers of the government be divided amongst its three branches, executive, legislative, and judicial branches. Limit the ability of the states to make their own money or to interfere with creditors rights. They wanted to strengthen the role of the national government.
5. The Federalist book was written by Hamilton, Madison and John Jay. They wrote the book to influence the states vote for ratification of constitution. The Federalist wanted a strong national government that would protect the new nation from enemies abroad and to solve the internal problems of the nation. The Federalist wanted to defend their belief that the country needed a new constitution.
